10,000 Face Masks Donated to Two Medical Facilities in Orange County (14 April 2020)

Tustin, California: Blue Beat Digital, a company based in Tustin CA, donated 10,000 face masks to two Orange County medical facilities.

The initiative was in response to the growing shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) for health care professionals across the county.

Blue Beat Digital was initially focused on consumer electronics and mobile phones with a specific focus of launching its own mobile phone service brand Blue Beat Mobile. When the statewide stay at home order was issued, Blue Beat Digital responded quickly by adapting its business model to serve the immediate need.

“No business wants to be disrupted by a global pandemic, but when one happens you need to be nimble and fast” says Jonathan Berger, CEO of Blue Beat Digital. “We quickly realized that our current business model would need to be put on hold, while we used our capital to both sustain our business and serve the greater good. We are proud of the role we have played in bringing much needed supplies to our local community in Orange County and customers across the United States”.

Blue Beat Digital used its warehousing, logistics and e-commerce expertise to quickly launch an online store at www.bluebeatsales.com offering critical supplies.

The 10,000 masks were the first move towards achieving a goal of what the company calls its Million Mask Challenge, an initiative that aims to donate 1 million face masks or PPE items in the next 100 days.

The masks were donated to the MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills and Graceland Hospice Care in Orange County, California. In order for future donations to reach those most in need, Blue Beat Digital will be inviting potential beneficiaries to register their details on its website.

“It was an incredible feeling to go to the hospital and meet the people on the front lines, and be able to offer them something that they really need” says Robbie Levy, COO of Blue Beat Digital. “This was more than a donation, you could feel the purpose and the meaning behind what we are doing.”

The company is committed to developing the Million Mask Challenge and will continue to publish updates on its website as the initiative gains momentum.

Individuals who wish to contribute to the Million Mask Challenge can do so in a variety of ways which include buying masks for donation on its website (www.bluebeatsales.com) or by contacting the company directly and offering a donation of any dollar amount. Items for donation items will be offered on the online store in the coming days.

Blue Beat Wholesale, the wholesale division of Blue Beat Digital, operates an online store as well as a Cash & Carry warehouse location offering a range of health care supplies including masks, gloves, hand sanitizers, thermometers and other much needed products during the Coronavirus pandemic.
